Baya has just finished it’s first financial year, and it really was such a good one. It shows that when you keep the focus on doing things correctly and the client’s prize always in our minds, even with adversity and uncertainty a company can exceed all expectations.

I think it is a good time to make sure you know some of the specialist areas we work with outside the main stream:
- Foreign Nationals – With the good exchange rates, this is becoming more popular. We can help people from most countries and this includes clients without any properties or ties to the UK. They will need a UK bank account.
- Ex Pats – We can cover them all, whether they have had mortgages in last 12 months or not. This can be a problem with some lenders.
- Reputational risk –vulnerable groups, charities and private schools to name some examples . We have seen an increase in these type of cases and have worked hard gaining a good reputation with lenders to find homes for them. Most have tried the High Street already but either can’t what they need, or are offered nothing at all.
- Large loans and complicated structures – We are very comfortable with these types of loans and have some good results. We try to keep to a route of least resistance and are able to provide a creative approach to tailoring to the client’s needs.
